Black base

I ws thinking right side, but maybe my eye was lead there by the reflection of 4 people on the bedside, lol.

Not a great picture as had to have sun directly on it., none of the three would be an embarrassment for sure.

I copied the photo so I could enlarge it but then it lost clarity, hard to tell any difference between the three in that photo but one thing is for sure-all three are way nicer than the black on that Ford Pickup!

One of my favorite blacks is the LY9B, at least with pro-spray. It's a even mix of both black toners. which one has a brown hue, and the other a blue.

That is a 2012 pickup and it was just detailed this morning.
Not too loud as BondoKing painted it at the plant in louisville. LOL

I'm curious how it would compare.
Well just so the understanding is clear up front, here is the deal with the black.

I have a $450 dollar a gallon of black that just three months ago was touted as the cats meow, I'm using this as a general standard and I have it beat and I'm not done yet, now as far as this one and that one, I don't have time to be checking each one and if I did which one would I copy, as everyone likes a different blue shade?

Not a concern on my part, I'm coming up with a good black that would look good on any all over job at what I will consider a fair price and if someones likes the blue shade of Spies for $600 a gallon, they should buy it.

After the last GN I painted I promised myself I wouldnt paint another black car.

If SPI sells black, I will have to give it one more shot.

i'll take a black job over any other color. one of the easiest colors to paint .
hopefully the next vette will be black/silver cove . so the spi ss black is coming in at the right time ..... :)

Black is good. Whatever shade you pic will make a lot of people happy! ROCK ON BARRY!!!!

imagine the SPI black and even a clear with some pearl or other small metallic flake....I'm sensing an overall on my 2005 accord with Nighthawk Black Pearl...

I agree, and can always tint a little if needed, but you just need one consistent black and it will be a hit!

Really looking forward to the SS, it's been a long time since I've done a straight single stage black job-they sure look awesome!

To be honest I can't see the different tints in the photos. But I didn't pay much for the monitor on this computer either.
I'm sure what ever you decide on will be an excellent black. I'll look forward to using it.

My favorite black was Centari w/ glamour pak - code 99L.

Have no idea how it compares to todays blacks. I do know Omni MTK9300 ss doesn't even come close to the Centari for blackness or depth or gloss.

Really excited to see SPI black coming back, blacker than ever :)

damn i was getting ready to order some ppg toyota jet black. customer wants the blackest black...

Finally i can use the last half gallon of spi black base coat I've been holding onto like food rashons for many years now..
So we should expect base and single stage for June????? Im overly excited!!!
