Getting ready for second coat of epoxy.. Its been 2 hours

Question: What is the best product to get window tint off the easiest?

For some reason, a couple months ago I only masked up the outside front windows and not the inside with the tint on them lol.. Sometimes I wonder how in the world did I overlook such a thing.. Now they have epoxy that has set for months on them.. NO chance that is coming off :) Good times good times..

Once the epoxy has set for a day or two, I will mud the quarters, re hang the fenders and block it out.. It doesnt appear to need a great deal of work,,. It is wavy, but I have seen much worse before.. All door/fender/quarter gaps will be set and dialed in so they all match..

The project will move along much faster now that all the metal is on and welded in completely.. patch panels made and installed in several places, the trunk pan, inner wheel tubs etc..

You could use paint stripper and fine steel wool to take the epoxy off the glass.

Nah fella's its on the interior glass window tint.. Tried clay bar, nothing worked.. Lacquer thinner I guess, and just melt the tint off with it I suppose..

Gotta say Im excited to see it get to here.. Now the fun begins ;)

sorry , i was thinking windshield. on tint you are probably screwed as the epoxy will bite well. just peel it and have it re-tinted. polish might take it off but i doubt it.

If the tint you speak about is film, just take a het gun and warm it and pull it off, then clean the residue off the glass with a razer blade and final clean with some naptha. works for me.

If its the old skool vht spray on stuff, the lacquer thinner will work, but first use a razer blade. When i was in hi school i bet i used a case of that crap on my 56 ford before i got the windows tinted without dust specs in the tint. lol.

Thats what I was looking for.. I know the tint film is trashed,, Just wondered what was the easiest to remove the tint.. The rest is as you all have said.. Razor blade and a solvent source on glass.. I do this all the time.. I was just wanting the least hassle when it came to removing the film.. \\

At least you haven't broke this one (LOL)

lol Jim, I broke the front windshield when I removed it.. But I told him it may crack and he said pull it anyway if it does Ill buy a new one.. So i did :_(

See.... I take a different approach. I tell them it will break coming out. Then if it doesn't they are thrilled. :)

Just a typical case where people thinking positive can hurt you! They figure, "it won't happen to me", and are then upset when it does. Tell them it "will happen to them", then when it doesn't, you're a hero. LOL

They will almost never hear the part from you where it "Might break and cost $$$". They definately hear from me, "It will break and cost $$$$".

I do the same thing with completion times.
I always tell them it will take longer than I know it will.
If something goes wrong I can still meet my deadline,
but most times they're thrilled to get it back early.
I don't rush.
