Yes sir, looked like gloss black.Did it look wet and shiny when it went on? It should look very shiny until it flashes off.
It may have just enough to cause this, its possible for sure. Heres a pic of the jambs i painted, before i decided to go satin black(long story). Same gun, same setup. Is it possible that the paint in your cup started to kick before you sprayed the 2nd coat?
Yes, i take the cap apart and clean in in between coats..I'm assuming gravity feed gun? Did you remove the cup and squirt some thinner thru the gun between coats? If not, you may have had enough dried paint partially clogging the tip, or a build up of over spray on the air cap that cut off air flow.
Man your on the money, i dont like the 6:1 as its too flat. I went with that as it says its "most popular". At this point i am probably sending the car to a painter, im tired of fighting it!I don't think you have enough air. Also, are you sure you want 6:1? To me the product looks and performs best at 4:1 and is still pretty low gloss.
Yea i absolutely hate to give up but man, the heat is killing me! I dont have an ac in my shop and its been 100+ every dam day here in Texas. But hey, atleast i did the body work and it came out really good.I'm sad to hear that, though you probably know what's best for yourself.
Well, i shot the jambs with epoxy today. It went on really good, all i did was remove the bubble filter on the gun, narrowed the fan just a tad. But, this is epoxy so idk.
