Which clear is that?well 5 sheets of paper and 2 heat strokes, a heart attack and one serious butt cramp the 56 is ready to cleanup and polish in the a/c build room. this heat is insane but not really anything new here. it's been hotter before. the heatwaves of the 30's were just as brutal.
so now i'll get to test the new presta pads i ordered. sanded to 1000 to see how they work.
Yea, back in the day when I used lacquer.Buffing out 1000 was pretty common back in the day, but paint and/or compounds seem different now.
Is the Presta pad a foam pad?well butter my butt and call me a biscuit. the cutting pad with v32 did surprisingly well. one pass with the 32 and almost all the 1000 gone. this tells me at 2000 it will bring it out fast. i could just do the 1000 but why work harder if you dont need to. the black/white presta pad was a good buy. i'd say twice as fast as any of my foam pads. clear was 2 weeks old. i'll buzz it with 1500/2000 and try again.
would likely do better once the pad gets loaded good with compound. this was just 4 dime drops spread around the pad.
I am going to get one, I have been using Presta white wool.no. wool pad.
it out cuts my black presta pad by a lot. i put 4 drops on a new pad and cut 1000 grit pretty quick. i will cut it with 1500/2000 but this pad will wipe them out super-fast so i can get on to polishing without overheating the paint.I am going to get one, I have been using Presta white wool.
That two color pad is like wooly sandpaper. Crazy cutting action. I'd love a 3 inch version of it.it out cuts my black presta pad by a lot. i put 4 drops on a new pad and cut 1000 grit pretty quick. i will cut it with 1500/2000 but this pad will wipe them out super-fast so i can get on to polishing without overheating the paint.
if you dont think heat is a problem buffing bring your shiny hood by and i'll turn it into leather. which will never polish out.
