White Basecoat

Im in the process of repainting my dodge truck with SPI White and it is as bright or brighter that Mopar Bright White.

I’ve used it on a couple of cars including my 69 Camaro.

An odd question but out of curiosity how does one get a “pure white” color ?

I always thought black was the absence of all color but a quick read on an Adobe site about color informed me it’s the absence of “all light” and exists in nature w/o light - makes sense - so it made me wonder about its opposite and how it’s defined or made ??

I think in this case pure is defined by the absence of any other pigments other than white. Most OEM whites have either/all, red, black, green, blue pigments/toners added to the white to achieved the desired shade.
