I'm going back and forth trying to decide whether to pain my own car. I really want to do it, so that's the plan at this moment!
I'm using SPI epoxy, and the car will be two tone, red & black. Current thinking is I'll use SPI dark red and black base. So my big question is...what color epoxy as my sealer? My original thought was SPI black epoxy over the prepped bare steel, gray high-build, then epoxy as sealer after blocking. Reading through the forum, it sounds like white epoxy as sealer is the right choice for red. But with the second base color being black, can I get away with white epoxy for the whole job--or would I need to use a darker epoxy to seal before the black base?
Thanks!
Jay
