You all may remember when PPG years ago came out with their 3000 clear and then their 4000 an improved version of their 3000.
At that time we came out with our Turbo, this was a new resin that Akzo resins had just developed and it really was state of the art resin back then.

Over the years, this resin has kind of moved aside with other resins that came to the market place and is really no longer the state of art it use to be and really now has no special fit in the market place.

We have decided to discontinue the turbo clear as we run out of inventory and replace with another clear that we have had in mind for the last year.

Until we are out each gallon of turbo you will get the activator free, we have a pretty large inventory of the turbo, so no need to worry about us running out in the near future.

I seemed to have never found a place for the turbo clear. I tried it once. After using the euro and seeing its capabilities, i was thinking what would be a good use for the turbo....couldn't really come up with one and have never really seen anyone on here talk about it much.

Does it just have the curing capabilities of the euro, while staying a bit softer at the same time?

Been so long since i've used it i really cant remember how it performed curing/ buffing wise.

How will it work for us mobile guys that like the Universal? I volunteer myself as a guinea pig for the new clear. I am just that kind of guy.

One would only assume that if discontinuing a product such as the Turbo, and then replacing said product.. that its not going to be resto designed Dan.. It should be along the same line as the turbo which would be for a Chevy dealership.. Barry already has the resto end of his products summed up.. No need for another resto clear.. Hence the reason they got rid of the HS.. It wasnt a big enough seller to stock, make, fill, label etc..

AAE, again assumption here .. but Im sure it will work fantastic for mobile guys such as yourself.. If not, Barry will let us know when he does his beta testing with people like JimC and such..

I think you know more than you are letting on! It's no fair making us wait until Fall. Barry is such a tease.

i can say i always like the turbo clear. great gloss, no die back or anything BUT i never really thought is was very, well.......TURBO. i never saw much of a difference in cure time between that and universal clear. i stopped using it a couple years ago because really what was the point. just stick with universal.

thats it! been so long i couldn't remember. I believe it was a little harder to run than the universal.....like you i just would use the universal with fast activator and suited me fine.

wonder what barry is doing/making!?

Once we came out with the 5000, 5100 and 2100, it almost made the clear un-useful.
Only time we recommend it anymore is once a month we will get a shop that calls and says, what do you have like the 4000 or 3000 in PPG.
We just send the Turbo and that is the end of that call.

i just used the Turbo for my first time and i liked it very much!!

just like i like everything from SPI!!!!!

Hotbo, did you get a chance to use the veryslow activator for the 2100 yet?
