Need advice

I have around 50 or so feet of copper tubing rolled up hanging on the wall outside.
Never thought of or seen that! Allot less work than the up & down maze of pipe. Do you add a drop to collect water right after the coil of copper tube?

Yes inside building about a 2 foot drop with
valve at the bottom.
You don’t happen to have a pic do you? Lol. Literally just a roll of soft copper hanging there? Works well? I don’t know who would want to go thru all the work of soldering up a manifold if a roll with a drop will work the same. About the same cost all said and done as well.

The build is not green! Nor is the compressor.
They both are a beige color.

Haha yeah I’m assuming the green from the trees has something to do with that. Nice…simple yet effective! You guys with your compressors outside are lucky…you don’t get to hear them running all day lol. Actually mine doesn’t run nearly as much as it used to with all the fancy cordless tools now. Certain things you just can’t avoid though.

The compressor, garage, and copper are 24 years old this fall and work great.
I hope you can see the drop pipe with all the crap around it, but in the middle of a big job, every square inch of floor is covered.
But I sold a car on the 5th, so in the next few weeks, it will be going to CA, which will free up some room.

Yes I can see clearly. I totally understand the garage mess. Mine usually looks like a bomb went off. But…as long as no one else touches anything I still know where everything is! Organized chaos lol. I may go that route as I need some soft copper for another project anyhow. Maybe I’ll hang the rest on the wall and see how it works. I was going to solder up a manifold but this is much easier and takes up much less wall space. Thanks!

my hillbilly chiller for my blasting hood. fill with well water and a few bags of ice and i stay comfortable in summer while blasting. it has a coil of copper in it. i keep the freezer of my beer box full of bottles of water. they work as well as a bag of ice.

Nice I bet that works good especially in regions where it’s very hot. So if a coil of copper works just fine, why are some people crazy about every pipe needs to be angled toward a drop or tank, everything must be up and down with drains, etc. They would say water will collect in the low spots in a coil. Are they over thinking it? Or am I? Lol
