Little rings show up on paint in the sun

Painted the car in December with Moto Base and Universal Clear and it didn't really see much sunlight until a couple of weeks ago. I let the car set out in the Michigan sun for about 6 hours and some areas of the cars paint will have little rings, looks kinda like a very small pimple but they are not raised up. I took 2000 grit paper over it and then wheeled it out and it looked good until I took it back out this past weekend and it did it again. If you take your hand over it you don't feel anything. I will get some pictures of it next time it does it. Do I just need to wet sand it again and let it shrink in the sunlight then rub it out. I can't see the rings when the car is outside but once it's inside under the florescent lights then you can see them. Maybe my car hates the sun as much as I do!

Please post some pictures.
I will get pictures next time I can get it out in the sun for a while ( raining today). I sanded the spots down yesterday afternoon when I saw them after I put it back in the barn. This is the area that I notice it on more but like I said it is sanded because I can't handle looking at those spots.

I think they are caused by trapped solvents resulting from spraying when temperatures are low and not allowing enough time between coats.

How many coats did you spray?

Just my theory,
Don
4 coats of clear, 30 minutes between coats. I did keep the exhaust fan going until all 4 coats were done. I did keep the car metal temp up to around 67° near lower part of car to 74°near roof of car.

Normal #4001-4
The reason I asked is because I had a couple spots like you described when I painted in the winter. Also four coats but I attributed it to my use of slow activator. They also appeared after the car was in the sun.

Sounds like we need a pro to weigh in.

Don

the problem is likely in the base still gassing out. flash time on base in cooler weather is all important. it will actually go dormant at night . now when it gets heated up it is trying to gas out thru the clear.

Did they look like this?

If so, you will need to add a polishing step to your cut and buff process. I went with Menzerna Final Finish and a black foam pad.

I dont think hes referring to swirl marks, but who knows, maybe.

What did you paint over? Was this a complete new paint job from primer on up?

Yes, complete restoration on my signature car.

It's hard to know what he's talking about, that's why I asked for pictures. Then he posts one where the "rings" have already been sanded out. So ...... here we are still guessing.
