Knock Off Copy of a Sata 4000 RP Spray Gun?

Bob, the seller of that gun might just be your neighbor. It appears he is from the same city as you! Great detective work on searching and finging the gun. Yup, it's the exact thing. lol

This town has too many really well-off old people -- it attracts a lot of dirt bags.

This guy has some really beat-up Satas for sale so he knows this one is a piece of crap. It's not even a knock-off of a Sata. I think he's bidding on the gun himself because the only two bids are from the same person.

SATA is no joke when trying to prevent people from piracy of their products

Now that the auction has been dealt with, I can now say i was in contact with SATA last week on this gun. I was basically only interested to find out if it was actually a legit gun. I was told the minute they saw the auction it indeed was not legit. They then asked me not to say anything as they were going to bid on the gun and buy it. They would then research what the deal was on it, and where it came from. My original intent was not to really create a big issue out of it, but I didn't want to see someone get taken advantage of if indeed it was a fake by buying it. I told SATA that when I spoke with them. I also wanted to learn more about the SATA guns if it actually was legit. Just too many weird things did not look right to me to ever believe it was real.
 
I guess the sata eBay bidder scared the guy off making him close down the auction
 
I give Sata a lot of credit for the way they handle things, unlike most companies, if they say they are going to do something, they do it.

Goes back years ago when they did not want their product sold on line, they stood behind it and cancelled some jobbers for not playing by the rules.
