The second side is turning out much better overall, doing it in one piece is made it easier to replicate the slight arch that the quarter panel has from front to rear.. also less welding and finish work..

Chad, had not looked in a while but that is one great metal fab you are doing.

Hey thanks guys. I learned a lot on this project, and a lot from one side to the other.
I took a class with Wray Schelin, well worth it for anybody that has the opportunity, he taught Randy Ferguson, which I think some of you may know.. I remember barry introduced me to him at a hot rod convention years ago in Indy.

I've been having fun learning a new skill.

Really happy with how this side is turning out.. I guess it does get better with practice!!
Pretty pumped to have had the opportunity to learn so much in such a short period..
I had to go back and spend another day on the first side to try to make it as nice as this one, I got pretty close but this side is still better.

Chad, really nice work! any idea how many hours per side you had in it?

A LOT!!! Probably 100 on the first one, the second side didn't take quite that long..
But more than 60 for sure.

Made inner wheel well patch today, wasn't sure how to make this one but I think it came out pretty good, especially for something that you will never be seen once the quarter panel is on.

Very nice Chad. I had to do a shape similar to that for the inner wheel well of my Integra. You got it to match the outer nicely. Every time I would try to raise that upper edge to match the rest of the inner wheel well, the radius of the whole thing would change and then it wouldn't fit the outer panel. Something like that looks easy until you try to make it. LOL Nice job.

Yea, I fought it back and forth for quite a while I had over 6 hours into the piece, I was pretty happy to get it right without ruining the panel, I was about to give up on it, tried a few things then it all fell into place.. lol.

This project seems never ending..

Geeze Chad, someone spend 20 minutes making that panel and you're going to tear it out?

LMAO!!! I should give it to the owner so he can mail it to whoever did it.. lol..

I just threw in the towel for the night.. But finally got the quarters on for the last time.. I'm beat!!!

Here's a pic of new body mounts, I think they should do the job.
