5000 clear

Only two bucks more? Don't cut yourself short, I'm sure it is worth every penny and some!

I have ordered one to try! Does that make me first?

I do know Joe shot an F150 allover yesterday, so maybe he also will give us advice, if it needs to be adjusted for speed, in any way.

Hey Crash, let us know your first impressions as soon as you can.
I'm still waiting for it! Unfortunately, the weather is already turning here, so I may not get to use much until next spring. I do have some complete project cars to do but paint is still months away.

Hey guys had a chance to spray an overall yesterday on a full size pickup with the new hardner and it worked out great. The weather was weird yesterday ,it was rainy, misty damp in the morning and then warm and bit humid then it rained again and then heated up again. I used standox base on the truck. It was 82 in the booth when I finally got around to spraying clear. I used a 1.4 rp at 35 psi. mixed clear 4-1-2. I sprayed the first coat as wet as I felt comfortable with. 15 minutes's later came back and the side I started on was pretty much dry to touch. I spoke briefly with Barry and waited a few minutes later and sprayed 2nd coat which I really pushed it and sprayed as wet as I could and not be stupid. Was happy to see it hang on and not start mudsliding on me. I probulay could have sprayed that 2nd coat sooner but being first time with this hardner would rather error on the side of caution and give it little more flash.I just went down to shop and moved the truck out of booth and it looks great, looks just like it did when I walked out of the booth. Having just doing an overall on a 67 camaro a few weeks ago I used the 2.1 uro on that and was very happy with that, I like the way this euro clear sprays with new hardner, the gloss and clarity are exceptional. I plan on maybe backing off the reducer and try it at 4-1-1 or 4-1-1/2 . The truck is slick enough I think all it needs a nib sand or light 2000 and buff. We'll get it rubbed this week and let you how it how it goes.thanks Joe

Thanks for the feedback Joe. Sounds like a winner! Can't wait to see what Barry does with the Spot/Panel activator :)

Looking forward to maybe some pics of it Joe.. Sounds like it worked out great!

Barry, have to place an order today or tomorrow. If you happen to have sample of the spot/panel activator available I would be happy to test it for you! :)

Just been making gell test samples of 300 grams, close but still need more play time, going on vacation next week but should have in a few weeks.

Well, I was going to try the slow hardener on a multipanel job here that included the roof. It would have been a good test, but I chickened out because the glass man was due to set the rear glass the next morning, and I was afraid he might damage the finish if it wasn't cured enough.

I'll have to try it on something that doesn't need handling right away, lately that is all I have been getting!

My body will be on vacation but my mind will be answering the tech line!

Barry, I have a great admiration for your intellect. BUT even I know it is not a vacation if you are still answering the phone, that is more like doing a week of light duty! LOL.

Enjoy the lighter work load, you definitely earned it.

I'll be in Panama City next week doing nothing but laying on the beach,
Barry, I'll be going right by you on the way, I can stop by and pick you up,
You need to bring nothing, That will be a vacation (LOL)

Sounds good JC, this vacation is for the wife and it is unplanned, we are going Island hopping and starting at ST Augustine island and will spend whatever time she wants there and then go to Amelia Island and keep working our way north till we end up in Hilton head.
It will be up to her, what nights and how long we stay at each one, I'm good at taking orders and driving.
