Painted rear valance and bumper and wet sanded body getting ready for stripes. Now I need to wet sand bumper and valance.

Modified Mustangs & Fords Magazine will be featuring tech articles on the building of my 1967 Super Stock Fairlane. The first one is in the current issue.

Over the weekend I installed the Strange master cylinder. Hurst line lock, distribution block and fabricated the brake lines.

All restorations should be done by people that works like you. Period.

I love your dog , he looks like he doesnt give a crap - gotta love that.

Brian is making a frame that will bolt in to hold the fuel cell and battery box

Flaming River power cutoff goes through the taillight

Weight box added.

It seems like I never have any time to work on my Fairlane but I decided to spend a little time this weekend on it instead of customer cars. I started taking this apart over 6 years ago and now its not that easy finding all the parts. I finally found the brackets for the headlights and the hood latch. After I sandblasted them I sprayed a couple of coats of SPI black epoxy.

I just moved this out of storage and will start working on it so that we can race it sometime in 2014. Still not sure what engine or Super Stock class yet.

I will be racing it in the GT class in Super Stock so no turbo's. It will either be an FE or the new 2010 Cobra Jet 352 EFI.

I'm guessing after some research, the cobra jet 352 is a motor that you build from a 8.2 deck boss block with ford heads and intake to run super stock? I have not heard of that specific motor produced by ford.

The 2010 352 CJ was offered as an option to the Cobra Jet drag race Mustangs based on the Boss 302 block with cnc heads and a large throttle body and rated at 285 HP. It is a very desirable combo. The hp in Stock eliminator has been raised to 330 but still is 285 in Super Stock GT. The GT class is figured by dividing the hp into the shipping weight that is in the NHRA guide.
