1966 Mustang needs a little work

did the wheel wells fit the quarter panel wheel opening shape?

I have some who knows what brand outers and Dynacorn qp's. The Dynacorn panels have the same arch shape as the oem panels I cut off, so I know it is the wheel well outers.

I'm always amazed at the work done at Rusty's shop. Sometimes I think the only original part left on some of those cars is the vin tag.

We had the one piece Dynacorn wheelhouses for a convertible and Brian said they fit the Dynacorn quarter panels great.

Rusty, I know I asked this once before but forgot to write down (or forgot where I put the paper I wrote it on). What is Brian using to grind the welds in those tight areas?
Looks very clean.

Getting the right pitch/angle, shape for the top of rear fenders on early 'stangs can prove to be a challenge, looks very nice so far. Do you guys have a template for that or just use an angle gauge ? I've seen some creative mud slinging there on some lol.

I am still baffled as to how Brian grinds those welds down to make the metal look so smooth, especially a huge weld like the one in the trunk corner....magic!

Thanks! great info for the next one.

Rusty, Any hints on aligning Mustang doors? I have the latches and the posts on, and the door is perfect when it's latched, but it drops when it comes off the pin due to slop in the hinge (new hinges by the way). So I keep trying to adjust the back higher so the "slack" is out of the hinge and the post won't have to lift the door, but every time I loosen the bolts to raise the back, the front falls and I lose everything...

I have been using this transmission jack for about 20 years lining up doors and other things. Here is Brian and his son lining up a door.

Also leave one bolt in the front tight before you start raising the back.
