What Bodyshop Magazine do you like the best?

This year we spent our advertising budget in the Canadian market and kind of skipped the US market.
For next year we are going to do both and in the past we have advertised in the Bodyshop Business and ABRN magazines.

My question to you painters and bodymen is witch of the two magazines do you like the best?

Between the two I would say ABRN, though I haven't seen a Body Shop Business in a few years. Hot Rod and Restoration is more in line with my work and an SPI ad in that magazine might work.
They also have a trade show in Indianapolis that could provide an opportunity for some exposure.

In Canada I get both Body Shop Magazine & Collision Repair Magazine. Really it depends on the issue which one I would consider the best. Some issues one magazine will just have topics that I like better than the other. Overall they are very close to one another. Have no idea what an ad costs in either one but have you ever considered direct mail to shops vs using the magazines?

huh i get abrn and hrr here and find nothing useful in either one. nothing but ad's and features on individual shops.

The only one I get is "fender bender" these days. I think reps from the other ones kept calling over and over and not leaving messages; I finally got short with them...

Maybe an advertisement in Hemmings Motor News?, Hemmings also had automobile magazines for enthusiasts, maybe put an ad in them?

We tried Hemmings twice and we only had one call, just did not seem like we fit good in that magazine.

We run a full page ad, each month in the following.
ABRN
Bodyshop Business
HotRod restoration.

One of the Canada magazines

Right now I think we are spending 9-10,000 a month on ads and in all honesty, I do believe we get more new shops from painters leaving one shop and going to another and the good-guy show referrals then all the ads together.
