Trying to pick out a dedicated clear gun.

I posted this in steve's "sata 5000" thread but I'll put it here too.

I got looking at my new 5000 b RP 1.3 and I thought "Hmmmm, that fluid tip looks kind of big for a 1.3"

So I compared it to a couple of 1.4 guns I have. I compared the fluid nozzle inside diameter of the 5000 B RP 1.3 with Iwata LPH400 1.4 and Devilbiss gravity plus 1.4. The sata "1.3" is larger than both of my 1.4's

My guess is this sata 1.3 is close to a 1.5-1.6

I did authenticate the new gun per Sata's website too, it's not a knock off.

If you have one of these, compare it to your other guns. I'm curious to know what the sata 1.4 actually compares to?

Checking again with a tapered round toothpick inserted in the end of both nozzles, measuring the tooth pic diameter at the face of the nozzle I get .055 for the 1.4 devilbiss which is about right for a 1.4. I get .060 for the Sata's 1.3 which is actually closer to a 1.5.

I'm off a little bit there because I'm eyeballing it but there does seem to be about 5 thou difference between the 2.

I grabbed my O ring kit and found R-06 to measure .060" (as well as you can measure a rubber O ring with a dial caliper, lol)

Pulled the needle back and slid it right in, didn't have to force it.

I can NOT slide it into my devilbiss 1.4 or my Iwata 1.4 though.
