Too late. Used Eastwood rust crap.

Getting ready to epoxy prime my 69 Chevelle quarter. I used that rust crap on a few small fingernail sized pits that the da with 80 wouldn't remove. It was brushed on with a flux brush. I gave a light spray under the wheelhouse for good measure and the area above rear bumper.I saw to neutralize with vinegar then water? Car is in garage and I can't really soak it down. Can i Scotch Brite or Roloc the areas then clean with vinegar and then a wet rag? I have used this type of rust treatment before on areas that just had a little black oxidation left with no issues under primer, but this is my first epoxy project. (restored a truck 20 years ago using that stuff on similar minor areas with no paint issues to date, but again that was not epoxy.) Any insight would be great, I didn't want to bother Barry again! Thanks!

Small area like that, just retreat and while wet, use a clean wet rag with water and wipe off and dry, then DA 80. Vinegar will also work.

Honestly, I would want to spot blast those areas after neutralization and before epoxy, if you can.

I only have a blast cabinet. Are those small spot blasters messy?

Yes, they can be. If the spots needing blasting are in a flat area or on a corner, they make spot blasters with rubber shields that fit against the surface, these will recover most of the media and make a smaller mess.

I picked up some large diameter clear vinyl hose and a pvc pipe cap at the hardware store and made a small blasting shield for my spot blaster. Just drill a hole in the cap large enough for the nozzle and force the pipe cap into the hose. It fills up quickly, but I can more or less see what I am blasting and contain the media pretty well.

Great idea! I already primed but that may be what puts me over the edge for a spot blaster, thanks!
