The General

Been working on this project the last few months, haven't taken the time to post it.

Dodge charger that the customer is wanting to keep the general lee theme as it had, but we did a full resto on it.

Someone else did a rough job on it and it was starting to show.

Here is how it was when it got dropped off.

Here are some pics after sanding and buffing, we started with 600 grit, then 800-1000-1500-3000
A lot of blocking was done to kill the urethane peel. Seemed to work pretty good.

looks great!! How many coats to start blocking with 600? I assume Universal.
What color code did you finally settle on?
Went with a code 70, but that didn't work so we made it redder to get what the customer was looking for.

I see, that's what I was thinking. I've always done 800 with only 3 coats. Wasn't sure if you could get away with starting with 600 on only 3 coats. 800 seems to do fine, but there is still that tiny bit of wave that bugs me.

That wave is hard to get rid of, not sure if you would want to sand 3 coats with 600 or not.
