Started a YouTube Channel

I am counting on you guys to keep me straight on the channel.... I will be saying "the SPI guys told me to do it this way" over and over.... ;)

car(resto) youtube channels are a rough start up. Just gotta stick with it and push through the beginning stages. If you're in it for the money you're in for a bad time, lol. But if you're doing it for a hobby to your hobby then just have fun with it and it will grow.

My buddies just started a racing/shop channel and they have invested some coin into video equipment, but they know its gonna take time to grow.

I’m just tinkering. We will see. It’s a PIA dealing with the camera while working and takes forever dinking with the editing. Have not invested anything but time yet. What it is really for is this will be for sale when done and this may help get a bit more out of it if potential buyers can go and watch it being built and know it was done right. Toying with the idea of Barrett Jackson next year just to have the experience once. Went for the first time this year and it was fun. It is a great way to get your work in front of a lot of people.

Oh for sure, it will definitely be a great tool for selling completed projects. I for sure admire the guys who can reposition cameras and do the dialogue. I think I would last about 3 minutes doing that stuff..

Question is if the aggravation is worth it. We will see. Episodes may be getting simpler and shorter soon. I’m still in the learning phases.

You gotta get yourself a queen Jolene to run the camera! lol. But in all seriousness it will be like everything else and it will get easier with time and im sure you will be able to decide what is worth filming and what it not. The time lapse stuff is great for filming long processes with some background music.

I figured what could be more exciting than watching me drill out 400 spot welds with my tongue sticking out?

So I got a suggested feed from a Van Facebook page because a FB is on it. The topic was a guy bought a van and discovered the body stuffed full of expandable foam and wanted opinions! Apparently this is common practice in Van land and I refrained from venting my opinion after what that did to this truck!

Anytime you have undercoating, soundeadner, or foam, it best is an area water cannot get to, or if the water penetrates, it can't get out and here comes the rust.
This is why cavity wax is being used or rust coating that never dries.

I'll support you as well being a fellow MOPAR Nut and Recovering Restoration addict
Your delivery is very good. Concise well spoken and intelligent which makes for a good video.
I'd never be able to do such. Have to be on the Adults Only area. F'nPOS is generally what comes out first when things don't work or injure me followed by SOB.

If your ratings start falling, You might want to go the BILL DANCE route. It's amazing that guy is still Alive but is just a Riot to watch.
