Spraying 2k in the heat.

I'm having issues laying down the 2k today. I'm using regular 2k, its about 90F outside right now. My gun keeps clogging up (1.7tip). I got one coat on the hood before I noticed the pattern changing. Whats the best way to handle this. I'm thinking I'll just spray one panel at a time, cleaning between coats/panels. Its gonna take forever. How do you guys handle the heat. (besides ice cream and beer)

The way you are explaining it has nothing to do with the heat.
Inside the "fluid tip" of your gun is a piece of dried paint an it may be hard to see but primer dries fast and the build up will be fast on that piece and then start spraying funny.

Only thing I Can think of that causes what is happening to you in a real short time and small area.

Take fluid tip out and soak in paint striper or carb cleaner because if it is epoxy reducer will not touch it.

Thanks Barry. You were absolutely right, big suprise. I read the thread on gun cleaning, I had the little plastic filter in my gun too, which was totally clogged. Cleaned it all up and tossed the filters in all my guns. Sprayed like a champ.
