I have made some SPI Red base-coat, same part number as before #2009.

This is the only color that I'm going to make and only reason is because we have so much of this red on cars out there and a number of shops that have used a bunch of this, has been beating me to death for the last year.

I'm keeping this low profile and if someone calls for just a gallon of the red and is not a customer they are not getting it, this is a service for our customers only.

I will continue to make this red, so no need to stock pile and yesterday already ordered more tints and dispersant's for next batch.

Not real interested even in the jobbers stocking it but would rather they order as they sell it.

Not to be a jerk but a red like this priced to cheap can just consume a business.

#2009-1 $250.95 per gallon, no quarts and no color chips.
 
The Gods have answered my prayers...excellent decision as I have had 2 repairs that weren't much fun...
 
We tried your black and hated going back......bring back the black...it's only 2 colors....come on Barry...raise the price and make it worthwhile...those 2 colors will sell more clear, I think...you will be rich beyond belief and women will lust for you...you will live to be 100 with hair...
 
What hair??? I've pulled it all out.

Problem with black is we have a capacity problem and requires different procedures but if, I spring for more equipment, we can do it and I have been watching for the right used equipment to come up for sale.

Also the word is out, I'm willing to buy a complete base system from a cpmpany that wants to go to only waterborne, so I can do a low VOC base, so never know.
 
I'm glad to hear the red has returned. I've been looking for a great red for my 68 camaro, and the spi red will be it! Thanks for brining it back Barry, and thanks for all the continuous help you provide me. It's a pleasure to purchase supplies from you, as you always promptly answer all my questions with patience and with a great attitude. Thanks again Barry, Dan.

Barry, glad to hear the Red is back. I have only one gallon stashed away!
 
wish i would have had crystal ball. tried to save some money using s^#Tline. did not cover. but the 2020 clear makes it look great hope it lasts as long as my rust repair lol. maybe next truck will be red.
 
Can somebody post a pic of this red? I keep thinking of the viper and torch red but cant for the life of me remember the bright red! LOL!

Hmmmmmmmm Since you have Red isnt your Orange close enough to make? :).

On a side note I am glad I found my way over here lol. Too bad a bunch of old threads were lost.
