Opened my gallon of SPI 2k high build primer today which had been sitting there awhile and everything was settled at the bottom went to stir it and it was gummy and thick put the lid and tried to shake as much as possible, stir it some more and seemed to work out all the gummy thick stuff out, is this primer still good to use and how can I keep that from happening again?

Primer is fine, stir up by hand good, let set upside down a few hours and then sir again and put on shaker if you have one.

ANY part A if not using , should be flipped upside down every 30 days and then upright for 30 days.

Work the solids loose from the bottom and make yourself a stir stick to chuck in a drill to mix it up well. I made on many years ago out of a solid auto antenna with a flattened S shape on the end and it makes short work out of situations like that.

Anything I have that has been sitting I try to remember to rotate the can every day. Upside down day one, right side up day two and so on. After a couple days things mix right up.
