Satin paint with gloss stripe

I’m gonna paint my aluminum boat- satin black with a candy red stripe (gloss). I know I have to get the candy first and clear coat to prevent bleeding. How do I do this and not have a stripe edge ? After the candy is cleared - I tape off the stripe and shoot satin but that will leave an edge. Can I use SS black- clear the whole thing with a matte clear then buff the stripe to a gloss ? Or live with the edge

Proper way is you will live with edge.
With a boat you really dont want to be loading all different products to hid the edge. Just my 2 cents worth.

Makes sense - it’s really not that big a deal - it’s a fishing boat - I guess I always try to do that little extra
