Primer issues

Someone on the Facebook page is saying they're having adhesion issues with base on the 2k primer. Says the base is peeling off.
He said he followed mix ratios and flash times as suggested.
There's a lot of unknowns but where would you start looking?

Id look at when sanded vs first coat of base applied.
How long since painted? yes base or clear can peel off if you try to firs 2 to 5 days.
Other than that its a solvent trapage issue in first coat of base.
But like you say we don't know enough to even guess but base adhesion usually cut and dried with whats causing it.

ill second what barry said. if for instance you lay base on then in 30-60 min put your clear down and you have an area masked off. if you unmask after the clear has hardened a bit then you will peel the base right off every time. doesnt mean there is an issue. as the solvents come out and that base hardens up then you will gain adhesion. could take a couple few weeks or a few mos. for many of us that spray base then let the base sit overnight before clear this is a non issue since no solvents were trapped under clear.

This time of year, you also need to consider base metal temperature. You can heat up a panel and then start the booth and get the temp down in a hurry and the longer you spray the colder it gets.

Here is his response to more info needed.

No idea. I think his post said he used sealer and waited 30 min before basing. It looks like he has been a user since 2017. So, he isn't new to the product line.
