Dug around and found some random older pics. Dad built the original two stall section back in the 70's and it's been added onto a few times since. Office is in between the two sides. There is one more stall plus the paint room around back. Behind the two stall section is a long storage room across the length of the back wall. The right side stall behind the camper is where we store and cut flat glass and polish the edges, along with the parts washer, blast cabinet, hydraulic press, and drill press.
Drew this up a few years ago of of the overall layout.
The stall I do most of my work in, pics are older and its way more crowded now.
Panoramic shots, makes it looks bigger than it is.
This is more of how it looks now- Upgraded the lathe to a 12x36 from the old 12x24 and it's on a factory table that has a smaller footprint than the table the old lathe was on. Added a Bridgeport, bigger 36" band saw, and an Amermac tire truer in '21. Was able to buy some tooling and equipment from a closed down machine shop in '22 including a really neat 30x36" cast iron surface plate. I originally bought a lighter duty Tennsmith 16g 4' finger brake for $600, then a few months later spotted a much heavier Tennsmith 12g 4' finger brake on marketplace for $600. I sold the old brake for $1200 so I'm into the bigger one for free. Went in with a few friends and bought a Hunter tire machine in '22 and bought a balancer from a neighbor last year. Pretty happy now with the equipment we've been able to collect, still looking for a small/table top surface grinder since we don't have room for a normal sized grinder.
Old prep/paint room.
New paint room, we added it in 2013.
Storage room/wheel shrine.
