Need some help with a 1965 Mustang cowl

Anyone have any great way to make the cowl grille removable and not have a bunch of screws penetrating into the interior ?

Why I ask is my 65 Mustang project is going to require the wiper linkages to be mounted under this panel and it would sure be nice to be able to easily service them.
I plan on using a cable drive system and mount the motor on the firewall in the wheel well.

a tong an grove tab on each side??

Have no clue but that came to mind first.
