Need some advise, project was on hold for 4 months

I was getting ready to paint my el camino, sprayed 2 nice coats of epoxy. Just when I was cleaning up the paint gun my compressor failed. Fast forward now its been 4 months and I want to finish up the job. I want to continue with some light body filler work and then my high build primer. How do I prep the surface for the filler and the primer? I want to do this once. Thanks.,
 
Barry, I understand there are two options for bonding coats between primers/fillers. Chemical and mechanical (sanding). Is one more beneficial than the other? Is there a rating that designates the quality of the bond? Obviously the chemical bond is superior in areas where you can not sand the surface after the recoat window expires, but how does that apply to areas that can be sanded after the recoat window expires?
