Mixing SPI Epoxy

My understanding is that epoxy mixed can have a few day life. If I mixed a quart sprayable of unreduced epoxy and used half, completed my body filler and primer, if by the 4th day, I am able to spray epoxy as a sealer, can I add "new" unreduced epoxy and reducer to the older epoxy?

Yes and with epoxy the pot life will start all over, unlike clear or primer.

Wow that's great news. I'm new to this obviously and was afraid if I mixed too much, I would end up wasting it! Now I can plan to primer, fix, block and seal without much waste.

Thanks again.
Barry,
What type of containers are you using to seal the mixed epoxy?
I use spare quart or pint cans, depending how much is left. I have even used glass "canning" jars. I just wont shake the canning jars, the lids might react to the solvents.

All I do is pour it back in the quart painters pail and set a gallon of paint or primer on top.

When I'm working on one of my projects, I almost always have some epoxy mixed and waiting. It saves on time and material.

What do you clean the containers out with before you pour product in them?

I don't remember the reason he gave me, to be honest. I hope he sees this and explains why. I seems like it was something to do with the low temps (possibly) permanently stopping the crosslinking reaction, though if you have not had a problem, maybe it's not an issue.
