Military Camo

Going to paint an 81 Dodge truck military style camo. I was wondering how to lay out the pattern on top of epoxy. Some websites say to use chaulk to draw it first then spray. Will the chaulk cause any adhesion problems. Any other ideas?

I only saw this done once, i painted and F16 and next day they were free handing the cameo. That is ALL I know be it right wrong or indifferent.

Back in the 80's when I was in the Army I seen some trucks being painted freehand and if I remember they did use something to draw out the pattern. I don't know what it was. If I used a hard chaulk stick that welders use to mark metal with, do you think this will cause any problems down the road when the chaulk is painted over?
