Matte Black question

I am planning on painting the plastic grill on the front of my pick-up. After I sand it down and clean with W&G waterborne cleaner I will spray adhesion promoter. I will be applying the SPI matte black. My question is do I need to spray epoxy primer on before the matte black? The grill is in good condition, that is I do not need to do any filling or repairs to it.
 
NO you do not need to spray epoxy first, however the adhesion = stone chips, will be a lot stronger if you do.
