Just painted my 69 Camaro,Thanks Barry!!!

I finished painting my camaro last night around 2am. I'm not a pro by far but i do ok. but this time i was using a new Iwata gun and that is a far cry from my old Binks 7. Barry had told me earlier (when i was getting his advice on which clear to use) to call him when i had gun in hand and he would walk me through setting it up. well, it was Saturday around 5pm when i called Barry, he was on a weekend trip and still took the time to help me out! of course i had more issues and made more calls (not with SPI products) and each time he took the call and was unbelievably helpful and friendly. If you read this i hope you tell your wife I’m sorry!! :) Thanks for all the help, I couldn't have gotten this done without you! 1022120909.jpg

it is a fact that mr barry has an outstanding bride. mine would likely shoot me for taking so many calls at home. thumbs up for mrs barry !!!! :encouragement::encouragement: :encouragement:


nice job on the camaro my friend . :encouragement: the right tools makes all the difference. i too hung on to my #7's and my jga to the last day. today's urethane's just do not like the old siphon guns.

Yes, i think i owe Mr and Mrs Barry a dinner! thank you all for the kind words. I put it in the sun today and it was awesome!

Great eye, yes that is Lemans Blue. I used DuPont ChromaBase (Although i hate advertising for them on here! wish Barry did all colors) I used all SPI Epoxy and urethanes underneath and i used the universal clear. it sprayed like a dream! this is my first time useing it. I don't paint often, i'm pretty slow.. My friends who have seen it want to use SPI now also. so i hope I can send Barry more customers.

sorry i'm late posting back. i had to take the wife out to dinner since i lived in the garage this weekend getting this done.

now, wet sand and 3 more coats of clear. Barry, your the man!!!
