If he had used cheaper paint, he could have afforded upgraded brakes

I'm not trying to make anyone nervous about driving their classic car. Obviously safety is a concern but, it's not like I posted the video of some guy who installed a passanger ejection seat in his convertible Mustang and took his wife for one last ride :)

When I was 16 one of the brake cylinders blew out on a 66 Nova base model family hand me down. Was going down a steep hill with a T intersection at the bottom. I remember putting it in low (2 speed PG), setting the e-brake and then sterring for the closest ditch/field....Scared the crap out of me. My dad taught me early on like 9 or 10 when bailing hay what to do if things go bad. It appears all this guy did was put it in nuetral and say hand on....
 
It is easy in hindsight to see everything that should have or could have been done.

Personally, I think the guy was enjoying his time in the spot light, with cameras rolling, and deliberately took a risk when they could smell the brakes burning. That would be the time most of us, would've pulled over to check things out, not this guy.
