I think I need a small gun, the Super Nova kinda big for small things & repairs.

I love my Iwata Super Nova but I dont think I can use it for small parts like brackets and motorcycle parts very well, especially for the clear.

Whats a good choice for doing things like repairing a rocker or spraying smaller parts? I dont want to blow the small parts off the hook but I think an air brush may be a bit small.

Should I stick with Iwata so my cups interchange? I would think thats logical?

I would pick up a detail gun with a 1.0-1.2 tip, go cheap at first to see if it will work for you and if it does you can always pop a $150 -200 for a good one.
I have seen some of those $25 ones do a nice job, they won't last if used a lot but it is a cheap way to figure out what will work for you.

I painted the inside of my trunk with a Harbor freight gun with adjustable cup, it let me shoot upside down without a special liner. It worked OK but I dont know if I would want to use it on anything major. I will check out some other cheaper options I guess.

I wonder what I can get a a few hundred $$...and would it be that much better than a cheap gun?

Barry's nozzle recomendations are very good for what you are doing, I think the HF gun (purple?) with the adjustable cup is too small, .6 tip if I remember it right.
The chrome HF touch up gun worked better, .8 nozzle, but it has a fixed center post cup. Still kind of small for car work but not bad for small parts.
If you like the rotating cup feature this may be someting to look at: http://anestiwata.com/product/lph101-lvg/. The nozzle sizes available are better suited, and more cup options.
I'm thinking of the LPH50 http://anestiwata.com/product/lph50/ with a 1.0 nozzle for where an air brush is too small for small parts. Ideally we would have them all and I'm working on that:encouragement:.
