how long before paint

So I talked with Barry yesterday - helpful as always - so ty Barry !

Forgot to ask one question.....I am restoring my '67 F100 panel by panel, slowly and am at the stage where i need to put on 2K primer and block and repeat etc.

Q: When i am done - how long can i wait before i apply a top coat. I think in my head i wanted to get all the panels done and then think about color - at my rate that will be completed in a 6 month window. (Honey-do list trumps my time on truck :eek:).

What do you all suggest ?

There is no yank, this vette had turbo primer on the hood and doors for about 4 years.
 
If it sets for awhile after you've final sanded the 2K just give it a good scuff with a grey scotchbrite and make sure it's clean before sealer and paint is applied.
