Harbor Freight Black Widow

I had an amazon gift card that I had no idea what to buy with, so I picked up this gun that has been making its rounds on the ole youtubes as a very good budget gun...we shall see. I haven't had a chance to use it yet. I will try it out eventually with base and clear, but I primarily got it to try out its use with primer.

Yes, its a sata knockoff.

I'm going to spray epoxy with this gun today. 96 dollars. To my door with 2 tips

Yes, the money portion is not a problem (in no way shape or form am I bragging) I can get a Sata, Awata, etc. but don’t know if my limited use justifies the price. I looked into the FLG-5 and may be the way that I’m leaning.
I have the FLG5 which worked nicely with bc/cc/ss. I stepped up to the LPH400 this year and now use the FLG5 for primer work. The Iwata LPH400 is a great gun for the price, but ask 20 painters and you'll get 20 different answers. If money is not a problem step up to a good gun, you won't regret it...

Thinking about getting a Iwata W400LV-144G. N.I.B. What’s a good offer…not sure if comes with a cup or not. Non retailer so he’s looking for an offer. Any suggestions?

I cant even lie, I was at harbor freight and I went to the high dollar gun area and I gotta say the Black widow does "feel" like a good gun.....how it performs is anyone's guess but it does feel good in the hand, if that makes any sense.

I agree, it does have a nice “feel” to it. I’d just rather put my $ into something I know I can easily get parts for etc ‍♂️

Just throwing this out there so don't quote me but, reading customer reviews on the Blackwidow, someone has said that replacement parts can be used from a Sata spraygun. What model Sata is used, I have no idea.

The problem about that is, dang near any part you need for a Sata costs almost as much as a Black Widow.

I am a big fan of Harbor Freight. Their Hercules line of electric tools is pretty darn good and they have a lot of other good stuff but... I would be skeptical of buying a gun from HF. I have Tekna guns, Prolite and Primer and they serve me well. I really like that I can swap out spray caps and tip sizes.
