Are you catching any fish? What is in the tuckasegee river? Smallmouth bass? Any trout?

Im set up for salt water fishing and this is a big trout river and only trout I have ever caught is ocean trout.
Gave up first day thought about cat fishing
As i catch ocean cats pretty common but gave the thought up.

My grandpa used cars for erosion control along the intercoastal canal in sw La. in the 60's & 70's. Those 1940's to 1960's chrome bumpers sticking out the water were still shinier than a 5 year old bumper on an 80's vehicle.
