Last fall I screwed up big time mixing my UC. First coat (maybe 2) I mixed 1:1. Then had a senior moment and mixed 1:4 and sprayed 2 coats. Berry told me to sand off the clear to the base coat. Winter came and it became to cold to paint in my makeshift booth. In fact after a cold night the day warmed up and I started to spray CC over a large battery cover. I then noticed water drops on the cover. The water was coming from the hose laying on the cold concrete floor. So finished paint till warm weather and getting myself straighten out with the Doctors.
1. Can I try to sand off the top two coats of UC then spray the correct mix of clear coat over the two bottom coats? Or sand to base and wonder if it might comes up blokish?
2. I need to touch up a door that I clear coated from last fall. The top curved of the fender came out too light with the clear coat and needs respray. Do I need to sand to put on another coat or two of Clear coat....And with what grit ?
The body is what I need to take care of screw up on CC mix. The body had it's cover off for a month so there is dirt and dust on it. Suggestions on what o clean he body with?
