Glasurit basecoat wanted - where to get factory color mixed

I am in the Dallas Fort Worth area - I'm hitting a dead end on finding a local "Glasurit dealer" that can mix a gallon of spot-on factory color basecoat (Glasurit 20R190 Rosso Chiaro). I prefer to use a PPG DBC basecoat with SPI clear, but my local PPG store cannot use that paint code. I do not have a body part to match.

Any thoughts of where to go? Or get a code that PPG could use? I would not mind buying online. Or does Glasurit mixing codes translate better to other excellent paint lines (Spies, Wanda, Motobase, Pro-Spray, etc)? thank you.

Have you been to the Glasurit Jobber? I did a search and there most definitely is one with multiple locations in the DFW area. Why do you think they can't mix it? A paint formula is a follow the numbers type of thing. A monkey could mix the correct color. Glasurit originally came on most Ferrari's from the 60's to today, so they would have the "correct" formula. I say "correct" because when lead in toners went away it threw off many colors. PPG DBC is inferior IMO to Glasurit. And if they can't use that Glasurit code you are out of luck with PPG as there is no other number. With Ferrari's the Glasurit number also served as the Factory paint code.

BTW SPI Red is pretty close to that Ferrari color.

Thank you, Chris! I have called the locals and no one has the capability to mix a factory color in this area. I even called down to Austin. I've hit a wall with my local search. Jobbers like English Color in this area have Glasurit products but no mixing capability. The distributor link/list feels misleading!

They are a customer of ours in Jackson if they don't have ask what store does as they have other stores close by.

English appears to have at least 12 locations in DFW area. I would think that one of them would have mixing capability.

Another one to try

This is a relatively common color used on several cars
One was Alfa Romao code 505.
Any paint mixer can go to alfa and pick out the color.
They were used on several cars for one to three years.
Also, the jobber can look up Ferrari and find the code.
I think the number you have is an old company-specific number long gone and really means nothing.

Thank you all for the advice and prodding! I had a long phone conversation with a knowledgeable EnglishColor team store member - going to get some 2 oz samples mixed on Monday. Actually, Glasurit recognized that old code, and only the PPG Global line could see that number....not DBC/etc. $$$.
