well i finally got to use my new buffer. what a change. from over 8 lbs to 4.3 lbs. you can run this one with one hand. has a slow start so you dont sling compound everywhere. finger tip speed adjustment. seems to fit my low speed buffing better.

I tried one out at sema. They are nice. When my makita goes i am getting a flex. What model did you get?

it is the small one. dont remember the number off hand. got it on sale from the chemical guys with some new pads.

i also got some of the hexloc pads. seem to work really well. i still use super duty to cut with then polish with the foam and presta.

i've worn out a pad with presta and just had shiny scratches. did everything but have barry stand behind me with a stick but just cant get it to work for me. i know it has to work because too many of you use it.

Yeah, anymore, to me the presta feels like road gravel compared to the new ones out. Wizards just sent me some free samples. Their compound feels like polish just like the 3m stuff but i think it cuts even faster. if the sd works for you rock on.

i will most likely go back to the clean-cut . i used the chemical guys stuff for years until they jerked me around on an order. i let it go and ordered my buffer from them. they didn't send the backing pad for the hexlock pads so another fight is on for monday.

Is the 3403 VGR the buffer you got ?

i bought the small one. less than 5 lbs . after riding a b&d for so many years i wanted something lightweight for a change.
