First time spaying epoxy as sealer

So today started with me thinking that my 2000 Z28 would be in SS black tonight, that didn't happen! I mixed epoxy 1:1:30% but I think I made a misjudgment on gun setting, by closing my fan setting to much and maybe a little high gun pressure 28psi. epoxy didn't lay down like I thought it should. What I ended up with is few runs and some ever so slight cratering on some of my overlaps, I'm learning and can spray epoxy 1:1 pretty damn slick but I've sprayed over 8 gallons mixed over the past year between 2 camaro's. Long story short 12:00 am I started spaying 12:30 I was cleaning my gun and turning the lights off in my booth not sure what my next step would be, 6:30 pm tonight I decided I was either going to really screw things up or fix it. I got the 600 wet/dry spray bottle of water and went to work and must say turned out better than I thought it would. I've got a good slick finish now and plan on going straight to SS in the morning wish me luck I'll need it being my first spray out by myself, I've done prep and body work on my own cars for better than 40 years but always had a buddy do the spraying.

At 28 psi and 30% reduced which is pretty much 1:1:1. If u are getting craters and runs thats due to spray techniques spray the 1:1:1 as if it was a basecoat. Just want uniform coverage, not trying to fill scratches, at this point, shouldnt be anything to fill. Backyard hack disclaimer

I think my biggest mistake was adjusting fan in, don't know what I was thinking but lack of experience defiantly showed up today LOL

yep patten was to tight and to wet for sure hoping thing go better tomorrow, plan to put four coats of SS for some comfort room when it comes to cut and buff

well from a rocky start yesterday today is much better with better gun settings things went super smooth

Nice. That is going to be beauty.
Was noticing your test paper on the wall. Might want to check your air horns on the cap.
Quite a few look curved meaning a partially clogged opening,s when you sprayed those or a 'floater' inside the horn. Piece of trash that floats around in it. If your test shots look wrong, something is. Find it.

you are right those were from the day before and I had settings screwed up pretty good

thanks to everyone here for sharing their knowledge and experiences, I've been reading everything I can here for over the past 6 years. I've built a paint booth in my shop during the past 5 years as money and time allowed while trying to take in everything you guys had to offer.
Someday I'd like to think of myself as a Backyard Hack apprentices and maybe help someone as in the same way you guys have helped me.
I just finished the booth this past spring so game on

That was sprayed with Iwata lph400 silver cap 1.4, has some peel but cut and buff will fix that. Sprayed 4 coats and plan is start with 1200 dry using my linear blocks
