Finally shot some epoxy

RAC65

Bought some epoxy several months ago and finally got to use some this morning. I am a guy with limited experience and an el cheapo gun but this stuff is so user friendly it layed down smooth and looks good. I am really impressed. Thanks Barry.

Yuo, that bandwagon is getting bigger and bigger all the time

The only bad thing is now I can see the flaws in my bodywork but that makes it easier to zero in on the areas that need more work. I sprayed the cab today, gonna do the front fenders and cowlings tomorrow. At this point I am just glad to see some progress, I tore it down about two and a half years ago and I would really like to get it back on the road.

hey...you get what you pay for...LOL! You know...that saying is getting old....Its something that the majors drill into your head and takes a while to get it out. I'm glad i finally did. I'll ride this bandwagon till the wheels come off...and we all know barry aint gonna let that happen!

Glad to see you like it and are making progress!!

going to have to do a suspension upgrade and add a turbo to this wagon before long.......

Yep..... The only problem I have had with the epoxy is that the cans come with dents in them.

Ha, ha, ha, you noticed those "spray on dents" as well. I could have sworn that panel was straight before I sprayed this epoxy on there.

A few years ago I was working on one of the small Shelby Chargers. I stripped the whole exterior to bare metal and went over each panel and removed all the dents. I then took a new can of black epoxy and sprayed the whole car. I was amazed as I had not noticed anything different about the epoxy when I poured it. It turned out that the can was full of dents in the epoxy. I know the panels were straight before I shot them. LOL

Well, at least SPI does not charge you extra for the dents and wave in the can! LOL
