Filled?

So, a story is developing. Ever since I had this system it's sucked compared to my mobile set up. Last year, when I replaced the old hose, I found a 1/4 inch adapter coming out of the filter. EUREKA! I "fixed" the issue! To reward my genious I got the hose reel and apparently put myself back into the dunce category.
It’s just a theory. :). Try it without the reel and let us know if it improves.

Soaking you cap/nozzle in thinner is far far better than trying to ream it with wire. Generally you end up ruining the cap/nozzle that way, either in one shot or over time.

Last week thoroughly cleaned it. I seriously think that Don may be on to something. I did recently hear someone say reels are a no no. I can use this one for my tools. I'll let you know what happens.
I appreciate all of the input.

Try bypassing everything you have now by tapping into a port on the top of your tank--should have (2) 2NPS threaded inspection ports opposite the welded long seam on the tank. See if you can bush down there and put a 1/2" ID hose on--then adjust your flowing gun pressure down from full tank pressure at the gun. What I am reading seems to indicate a sizeable cfm loss to the end of your hose now--somehow. See if this bypass helps and then work backwards. With a reel and desiccant filter, you may have to bump up your regulator at the top of the tank.

Yeah I have a feeling you’re going to find out it’s the reel. Off topic…what size is your Jenny fan? Appears it’s variable? It works well?

It's a 22". I think it's fine. I usually run on low. High would suck your clothes off.

Problem? I only have it because the threads don't turn.

I know it's time. But, what I don't get is why the fan is so wonky. Seriously, ever since I got this set up in the garage it's sucked the life out of me. My harbor freight 5 cfm compressor does a better job.

I didn't have a wire small enough to ream them so I took one off a wire brush.
Don't use anything metal, a tooth pick works good and a dental tool with a rubber tip
does real good. After that, an ultrasonic cleaner is amazing, you can get a small cheap
one from Harbor Freight.
It will remove dirt from what you thought was cleano_O

That's a darn good idea. My maintenance for my spray guns is a complete tear down and super detailed clean at the end of winter, early spring to get ready for the spray season. I'll soak the parts and detail clean. I too use tooth picks and a stiff nylon brush bristle for the small orifices.

I think your suggestion to use an ultrasonic cleaner is a great idea.
