Epozy wont stick

I warshed my car with ospho and wiped it down with Mercon transfluid, when it was time to paint I wiped the atf off with sum of the wifes baby wipes,, now my epozy wont stick .
What did eye do wrong?

I mixed the poo with the ospho and then gave it a coat of Shinola. Looks great but then again, I can't tell ... from Shinola.

Maybe that is my mistake, I used epozy in stead of epoxy! Dam eye lurn sumthin knew avery day.
 
Ok, youz guys don't know nothing about painting. My brother in law's cousin's neighbor has been doing this for 40 years, and he said that epoxy is a waste of time. Acid etch is what you guys should be using!
 
I think it's the heat that's givin you the acid etch. Doc gave me a lotion -- cured my acid etch in a couple of days.
 
Nah, you guys are all wrong! Why bother with all that prep and expensive Epoxy when you can use Duplicolor Paint Shop?
 
Well I went out and worked on it some more, after taking lacquer thinner and warshing the epozy off I applied 13 coats of poor14 on it, i think the roller fuzz will sand off ok. the first ccoats wanted to slip around and still had a lot of peeholes, but after the 10th coat I finally got thems peeholes bridged and the final 3 coats look likes they are ready to spray with that new waterborne base Barry is brewing up :)

Forgot to tell yas that I used some cheesecloths soaked in enduster and they worked awesome for tak rags.
 
No no, you did it all wong. The secret to getting the epzy to stick is to spray on some airasoul laquior primer first den shoot your epozy

what i don't understand is this ospho is a different product stuff. phosphoric acid is phosphoric acid. has nothing to do with the delivery . most are 5% mixes at most. i prefer naval jelly because it stays where you put it and stays wet longer .

I still have almost a full gallon of 75% technical grade phosphoric. Gotta use it sparingly as I no longer have a source for it :(

I prolly woodn't be having a problem if I had been able to use some spi-pho
 
Shine, when you use a liquid form just saturate paper towels and apply them where they are needed, apply some plastic over them if you need them to stay wet for a really long time.
