How long should I wait before the epoxy is cured enough or hard enough that I can proceed with assembly fenders doors ect. without risking chipping or damaging the primer. I've read the spi epoxy fully cures in 60-90 days in another thread but also mentioned if the truck sits in the sun it can speed the curing process up substantially. After the 7 day window is it tough enough? Just looking for some clarity.
Just to clarify I've searched this topic on this forum fairly extensively and haven't come up with a concrete answer. I've recently finished spraying 2 coats of black spi epoxy primer, filler and seam sealer over the epoxy followed up with another 3 coats of epoxy primer that was induced overnight for the maximum uv protection as this truck will be driven for a bit while I finish it . Truck has been kept at 75 degrees throughout the process. Happy with the products and how it sprayed using a Turbine system.
Cheers!
