Epoxy over chrome?

What I have is a wiper grill from a 68 corvette that was chromed years ago. (pot metal?) I have bead blasted and scraped all that I can get off and have sanded with 120, though there is still some chrome left on it. So my quistion is, will the epoxy (SPI) stick to it so I can base and clear it to match the rest of the car? Thanks for any help or thoughts!! Manuel
 
Wish you would have called before you went to all that work.
Clean with 700-1, let set 60 minutes after you dry the 700 and the shoot two good coats of epoxy.
