so my dad stopped over for me to soak a couple spray guns in my stripper bucket. he handed them to me and it was a bit of a blast from the past. i forgot i gave these to him. my old primers guns. does anyone remember when spi was giving these out with a case of primer? ahh the good old days...lol

Good find Jim!

One guy on facebook was saying he uses these guns for base and clear. Something about shooting base at 8psi??

I'm not sure of any full size Walcom/Geo for base/clear that shot with 8 psi?

maybe he meant cfm? i gave these to my dad because he is spraying wood finish of some type and he will be on a jobsite which is usually new house construction and all he will have is a portable compressor. i think the slim s is rated at 6 or so cfm. its the lowest cfm full size gun i know of

These were great guns for primer or clear, the primer gun you could mask of panel next to it with a piece of 2" tape and not get any overspray. I could dial in the primer gun and sign my name with it.

If they have low overspray, which one is recommended for base/clear? Is it low CFM also?

no, he said 8psi... claimed he didnt even have to turn his exhaust fan on. Said he used 2 quarts of dbc9700 to cover an entire car.
