I remember when that so called "scientific test" was first posted. I'll say the same thing that I said back then. One major problem with that "test" is that he was simply testing to see if he could make it "fail". I am a firm believer that you can make those types of tests give whatever results you want.
The best way to test a product like that is "unplanned". I tested this proceedure several years ago, when I first heard of it. I had applied epoxy to a piece of metal and applied the "bondo" on that. It was several weeks later when I remembered the test panel. When I tried to remove the "bondo", I destroyed the panel. I have since been using that proceedure on my projects.
I do not apply filler on "wet epoxy". It will sit atleast overnight before I apply filler. Since I do this on major projects, there is no rush to get them done. That means that there is plenty of time for all to fully cure. I know of no failures on any of my projects.
As an added insurance policy, it may be best to warn everyone not to beat their cars against the corners of their work bench. LOL
