well i though i would break in the airbrush section and make the first post. i had a cool opportunity recently to do an antique cast aluminum carousel horse. i am told that these things, if old can be worth some money. in any case, i blasted down the the raw casting, gave it a couple good coats of epoxy. i then filled the probably thousand or so pinholes in the casting and did some light filler work to take care of some sloppy grinding marks. i mixed up some white spi primer/sealer at 4:1 and put 4 good solid coats on. once dry i sprayed some guidecoat on it which is the purple you see in the pic. after 2 1/2 days of sanding in all the little nooks and crannies on this thing i put on 1 coat of white sealer and 3 coats of pure white base. let dry overnight and began masking and spraying each color. when all the colors were on we just did some light shading, i put in some silver pinstripes on all the dark blue then final clear with 3 good coats of euro 2020.
