Compressed air line respirator

Curious on feed back on a compressed air line respirator. Considering a sas 2000 for the simplicity of one hose to trip over. I don't spray everyday or for long durations. It would be hooked up to a water oil and dessicant motorgard dryer.

There has been systems out like this for years, I use to have one of the first ones back in 80's and I think it was a Sata but reading your post, it sounds like you want to make your own?

If that is the case, no way!!!!!!

Any systems a legit company sells will be safe to you.

Yes that is the one . Just wondered if anyone has opinions ,like if it is an air hog and would affect the spray gun and run it out of air. Or may just go with a breathecool II by turbine.

I have a similar one that I bought several years ago. I used it a few times on overall repaints, and it worked well with no apparent effect on the paint gun. Since I used it at home without a high performance commercial compressor, I was impressed.

I have the same one and for a part time user it works fine. The filter replacements are a little costly. I bought mine from NAPA. Where I used to work on a powder coat line we tried them using a turbine style compressor and did not like it. The compressor heated the air to much. I have also used the filter assy on mine when I sand blast but use it with a Bullard sand blasting hood and it works fine for that also, makes a dirty nasty job much easier and safer also. When I sand blast I use a gas engine powered Rotary screw compressor and run an air line fron my shop to feed the blasting hood. There are other systems out there, if you are a full time body man painting in a booth I would look into getting a large air purifing unit with a chiller unit and plumb the booth to have purified air for suppling the mask when painting.
