Chassis Black from SPI.

Does SPI sell a chassis black? I have used the CB from Eastwood and like the color and sheen but have been having problems getting it to spray. Not sure if its me and my gun or the paint. So looking for some local alternative. Thanks

Does the Black Epoxy work as a top coat? Does it have a satin sheen to it out of the can so to speak. You are talking to a clueless painter here so pls go easy. Thanks for the help.

You might want to use SPI2201-1 mixed 6:1 over SPI epoxy for an excellent finish.
You can adjust the sheen by varying from 4:1 to 8:1.

If you are doing a frame, shoot black epoxy and leave it that way, mixed 1:1 it will dry with a semi gloss and be 20 times stronger then the stuff you are trying to spray.

On the outside of the car use the 2201-1 as talked about.

Thank goodness. Which gun tip should I shoot with? I have the three gun starter kit from DB. Also, do you guys recommend going with the DKups system?

1.4 is perfect but a 1.5 will work.

We use the 3m pps cup and liners at our shop. Haven't ever used the dkups brand before.Joe

I used black SPI Epoxy on everything you see back on this frame. it looks great!

I have used the DKups system and like it a lot. Easy to use/mix and clean up is a breeze. Make sure you get the correct adapter for you gun model. There are a bunch of different ones available.
